DeAnne Livingston-Seifarth, DVM and BAH Proprietor


Hometown: Muscatine, Iowa

Dr. Livingston bought the practice in 1995 after deciding with her family to move to Blairsville from Atlanta. She is a 1988 graduate of the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine and a former member of the US Army Veterinary Corps. She lived and worked in Tuscany where her first son was born. Her generosity, compassion, and free-spirit make her not only an effective advocate for the animals, but a pleasure to work with. At Blairsville Animal Hospital, her passions are for preventative care and community education to promote public health. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons, reading, and helping out at Crane Creek Vineyards, the other family business, in Young Harris. Of course, she has an array of pets: Scruffy the Miniature Schnauzer, Peanut the Miniature Dachshund, two cats, Jinny-Inny Dots (better known as Jelly) and Victoria, and a horse named Whiskey.


Derrick Colbert, DVM

Hometown: Cornelia, Georgia

Dr. Colbert attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia where he majored in physics and animal science. After completion of his undergraduate degree, he attended the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After completing vet school, he moved to Blairsville to begin his career. Dr. Colbert has a particular interest in orthopedic surgery and enjoys treating both small and large animal patients. At home, he enjoys spending time with his wife, their Labrador Retriever, Maddie, and two cats, Trunk and Baylee.


Rachel Jarret, DVM

Hometown: Blairsville, GA

Dr. Jarrett is a native of Blairsville and has always had a love for “small town medicine.” Most of her family is in the medical field, but she chose to love on animals instead!

Dr. Jarrett attended Berry College in Rome, GA where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree. After completion of her undergraduate degree she went on to attend The University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Jarrett’s favorite topics to discuss with her Clients are Weight Management, Allergies and Preventive Medicine.

At home, she enjoys spending most of her time with her high school sweetheart Justin , her 2 daughters, Julia and Sophia, and 2 rescue Poodles, Ben and Bonnie.

Her favorite thing, working at BAH is being able to build relationships with clients and their pets. “I love being part of the team to keep our pets healthy and happy.”


Terry Bellin, Certified Master All-Breed Groomer

Hometown: Parsippany, NJ

Terry moved to Georgia with her husband in 2005 to be closer to family. A graduate of Concord School of Grooming, she joined BAH in 2010. In her prior life she managed a staffing agency as well as managed restaurants for 27 years. Her interests include cooking, working in her asparagus garden and photography. She has a Golden Retriever, Sandy who “sings” to the theme song from M.A.S.H. and 2 cats Bruce and G.G.


Chelsie Campbell, Veterinary Assistant Supervisor

Hometown: Atlanta, GA

Chelsie has been a great addition to Blairsville Animal Hospital for almost 5 years. Her love for animals and her eagerness to expand her knowledge has been excellent for her to lead her Teammates on a daily basis.

Chelsie is married to her best friend, Jamie and she enjoys Photography in her spare time. She also has 2 sweet “fur” girls, Stella and Eleanor {Ellie}, and 1 mischievous boy, Oliver.

Her favorite part of being a Supervisor at BAH is educating others, and helping animals while she learns new things everyday!


Jennifer Holt, Practice Manager

Hometown: Morristown, TN

Jennifer is originally from Morristown, TN but moved here in 2013, to be closer to her family.

She has been the Practice Manager for almost 6 years.

She is especially grateful that Blairsville Animal Hospital chose her because of her desire to contribute to a wonderful practice, and the great staff she is blessed to work with every day.

“I absolutely love working at BAH and all that we have to offer our clients and patients. It is so rewarding to get to see our patients and get to know their individual personalities. I love learning something new every day!”

Jennifer is the proud owner of an energetic, loving, and goofy 5 and 1/2 year old Mountain Cur, “Max.”

If she is successful finding a free moment, she enjoys reading, hiking,and spending time with her family.


Candace Hill, Receptionist


Kristin Hood, Receptionist

Hometown: Hillsdale, Michigan

Kristin has worked with animals, in some capacity, most of her life. She has also been a Veterinary Assistant in the past.

Kristin rescued her Shepherd, “Buddy,” and also has three Kitties, Georgie, Sophie, and Possum that keep her busy at home.

The thing she enjoys most at BAH is the interactions she gets to have with our Clients and their pets.


Nathan Dotson, Kennel/Veterinary Assistant

Hometown: Atlanta, GA

Nathan has been with Blairsville Animal Hospital for one year.

Nathan’s ability to interact with our boarding guests and patients, insideand outside the clinic, has been a great addition to our team. He continues to amaze our clients and furry friends on a daily basis with his compassion for animals.

Nathan is the proud owner of Brew and Bean. Brew is a Bulldog mix and loves everyone and Bean is the sweetest cuddle bug kitty ever!

Nathan’s favorite thing about working at BAH is, “meeting all his furry friends and their awesome owners, and working with our amazing staff!”

Rivers Reuss, Veterinary Assistant

Hometown: Madison, GA

Rivers has been a Veterinary Assistant with us for almost two years, and is pursuing his degree as a RVT.

His passion for animals started at a young age, while growing up on a small farm. With many different animals to call his own, he was fascinated by all the animals and the science behind them.

Rivers is the proud owner of a 4 year old terrier mix ,sweet,sweet boy named “Bowie.”

Rivers’ favorite thing about working at BAH is “to be able to work with some of the best Veterinarians in the state!”
